In a cold and rainy night under the lights of Flahive Field, Westwood battled TVL Large rival Holliston in a defensive showdown that lived up to its billing. Both teams displayed exceptional discipline and composure, limiting offensive chances throughout the match.
The first half ended scoreless as each side’s backline held firm, highlighted by key stops from Westwood goalkeeper Ansh Sattiraju and Holliston’s Luke McHugh.
Coming out of halftime, Westwood found rhythm through short, controlled passes and sharp positional movement, creating several dangerous looks from the wings and testing the Panthers’ defense with well-placed crosses.
Anchoring the Wolverines’ back line were Ethan Buttner, Harry Hayes, Sam Meng, Jack Tateosian, and Sattiraju, who collectively frustrated Holliston’s attack for nearly the entire 80 minutes.
In stoppage time, Holliston managed to break the tie and snuck one past Sattiraju to seal a hard-fought 1–0 win — a tough result for a Westwood team that showed grit and maturity throughout.
With the loss, the Wolverines move to 7–3–4 on the season and will look to bounce back on the road Thursday against Norwood.
