Field Hockey: Medfield Beats Westwood in Defensive Battle

Westwood hit the road and faced a very tough Medfield team, coming up short on the scoreboard by a 2-1 final.
 
The Wolverines drew first blood in the second quarter, as Claire Kenneally scored to give Westwood a 1-0 lead. Medfield rallied to tie the game with one minute remaining in the half, and score the go-ahead goel two minutes into the third quarter.
 
Mary Lou Cocivera led a solid defensive effort for the Wolverines, who fall to 4-6-2 with the loss. Westwood will return to action Wednesday night at 6:45, when the Wolverines host Holliston at Flahive Field.
