Field Hockey: Maeve Hennessey Scores In Westwood’s Critical Win Over Norwood

The Westwood Field Hockey took home a big TVL win with a 1-0 road victory over Norwood Wednedsay night. The game’s only goal was scored four minutes into the contest by Maeve Hennessy, assisted by a beautiful pass from Kahlin Dempsey.
 
Moira Kenneally had a stellar game in the cage, coming up with 12 excellent saves, including one on a penalty stroke. Bridget Hughes was an offensive and defensive anchor.
 
Westwood improves to 7-6-2 with the win and remains in contention for an MIAA playoff berth. The Wolverines return to action Friday when they host Hopkinton at 4pm on the Multipurpose Field.
