Hogan Scores 22 as Westwood Girls Outlast Dover-Sherborn in OT

The Westwood Girls Basketball team went on the road and battled a gritty Dover-Sherborn squad, outlasting the Raiders in overtime to win 52-47.
 
The Wolverines dug themselves into a bit of a hole in the first half, but regrouped and focused on fundamentals, especially defense and boxing out, to seize control of the second half. The offense fell into place, with Julie Hogan leading the way with 22 points. Hogan earned the GRIT award for the game.
 
Sophia Timofeev and Lizzie Weeman each had 11 points and Liliana Luzzo finished with six, including some clutch free throws in overtime to help secure the win.
 
The girls will enjoy the Christmas holiday and be back to work for a highly anticipated game against Needham, coached by the program’s all-time leading scorer, Lindsay Hallion. The game with the Rockets is scheduled for 3pm on Tuesday, December 30 at Bader Gymnasium.
