Westwood Girls Cross Country Races to Victory Against Ashland As Seniors Are Celebrated

Following an exciting win last week, the Westwood Girls Cross Country Team kept their undefeated streak alive with a win over Ashland. As the reigning TVL champions, the Wolverines backed up the title through chilly conditions.
 
Susannah Rockers (2nd, 18:40) dashed through the finish with a thrilling 30-second personal record. Shortly after, Maeve Gavin (3rd, 19:48) bolted through the last 200 yards, gaining her podium placement.
 
A new team member, Brooke Hahn, showed her improvement as she stayed consistent throughout the course. She will continue to be a force for the Wolverines.
 
This meet not only maintained the unblemished record, it also served as Senior Night for the team. Racheal Bothleto, Rikki Bryant, Maeve Gavin, Adrinenne Kelly and Molly Roche were the five seniors celebrated.
 
The Westwood Cross Country team will attempt to extend their undefeated streak on Saturday, November 1 at 9am in Wrentham, at the MSTCA Frank Mooney Coaches Invitational
