Girls Soccer Coverage, presented by Revival Wellness Studio: Charlie Jurgens Scores In Waning Seconds to Win It For Westwood

September 10, 2026

When we saw the bus arrive at Westwood High School, with players leaning out the window and screaming, we should have known something special happened during the Westwood Girls Soccer game at Weymouth. From the football broadcast booth, there was no way for us to know just how amazing a win it was.

Charlie Jurgens scored the game’s only goal with four seconds remaining to lift the Wolverines to their second win of the season. The 1-0 victory over Weymouth will be one they talk about for years.

Sofia Bertone delivered her second consecutive clean sheet to start the year, as the defense once again proved impenetrable.

Westwood is on the road again Monday, September 14 when they face Hopkinton at 5:00.
