Dalton, Smith and Donovan Pace Westwood Past Norton, Wolverines Stay Hot in TVL Play

The Westwood Golf team earned another strong win on its home course, defeating Norton 233–242 on Wednesday afternoon. The victory improves the Wolverines to 5–3 overall and 3–1 in the TVL as they continue to build momentum midway through the season.
 
Leading the way was senior captain Paddy Dalton, who secured medalist honors with +1 round of 36. Behind him, Aidan Smith and Matty Donovan both turned in steady rounds of 38, tying for second-best on the team. Sophomores Sam Elman and Owen Krupinsky each added solid 40s, senior Sean Joyce scored 41, and juniors Brian Sullivan and Sloane Gagnon carded 43s to round out the scoring group. Jaden Pollack was an alternate and shot 43, while another alternate Wyatt Harvey finished close behind with a 44, showcasing the team’s depth from top to bottom.
 
The Wolverines will waste no time getting back into action, traveling on Tuesday to face TVL Large rival Norwood. Westwood will be looking to avenge its earlier-season loss to the Mustangs in what promises to be a pivotal matchup.
