Spring is right around the corner and we’d love to celebrate the change of seasons with you at our Spring Equinox Hike on March 19. Westwood Community Trails also continues their adventures on April 5 with a hike around Oak Hill, and on April 19 with an Earth Day cleanup and hike at Currier Reservation. All the mountain biking is coming up, too: Our Youth MTB Club resumes riding as mud season ends in April, and Everwild Women’s MTB Day and the Final de Barro MTB Race are both in May. Registration for both events is open, and soon we’ll add MTB clinics to the calendar as well.

April Vacation Days is filling up for the last school break of the year, and summer will be here before we know it. Get ready for everyone’s favorite season with our new online series that covers a variety of topics to help you plan for warmer months. From preparing for your next backcountry adventure to buying MTB gear on a budget to understanding swimming lesson levels, our outdoor pros will cover much of what you need to know.

Hale’s Family and Community Program is now enrolling with new seasonal passes that make South Beach more affordable for everyone. Weekend access begins in late May, and our 8-week program operates daily from late June through mid-August. From swimming to boating to reading, hiking, and biking, you’ll always have adventures to recount around the campfire! À la carte swimming lessons will open for registration later this spring, and passholders will enjoy a significant discount when they do. Hale Education’s 1,200+ acres of adventure include 20+ miles of trails and four ponds, all right at your doorstep. Throughout winter, Hale is open daily from 8 AM–5 PM through April 8 and hours extend from 8 AM–7 PM on April 9. A $10 daily parking fee (payable upon arrival) provides use of lots accessible via its Main Entrance at 80 Carby Street. Its South Entrance on Bruné Way is closed until summer.
