Warmer weather is here, and we’re here for it! As flora and fauna emerge, Hale’s woods fill with the sounds of spring programs.
MTB at Hale is now in full swing. Youth and adult mountain biking clinics are on offer throughout the month, Everwild: Women’s MTB Day at Hale is on May 3, and we celebrate the end of mud season with the Final de Barro MTB Race on May 18.
If you’re more of a beach person, Hale’s Family & Community Program pre-season kicks off at South Beach on May 24. From swimming and boating to reading, hiking, and special events, our affordable season passes offer a variety of activities you can enjoy at your own pace. Signups for Swimming Lessons are going along, well, swimmingly. And if you’re new to South Beach, RSVP for our free Summer Solstice Swim & S’mores community event on June 18 for some nostalgic summer vibes.
Westwood Community Trails will continue hiking this spring and its next free guided trek will be to Powissett Peak on June 7. You can find all the details (including meeting locations and times) on Hale’s website, but there’s no need to register for WCT’s hikes.
With only a few spots left in Hale Summer Camps, and Pre-Camp Programs ready to run from June 16–20, summer is almost here!
