What’s Happening at Hale: June, 2025

Hale is in full-on summer mode! South Beach opened on Memorial Day weekend and we’ve been enjoying beach vibes during its pre-season. Starting June 30, South Beach will be open daily through August 24 (weekdays from 9am-7pm; weekends from 10am-6pm). From Family & Community Program season passholders to South Beach Day Pass visitors to kiddos joining us for Swimming Lessons, Hale’s waterfront is hopping with friends and neighbors this month.
 
Even if you haven’t registered for a program yet, our free Summer Solstice Swim & S’mores event on June 18 can help you find your summer spirit. From swimming and boating to reading, hiking, and special events, we offer a variety of activities you can enjoy at your own pace.
 
Hale Summer Camps begin their two-week sessions on June 23. Hale MTB Camp will send it on our trails and in our skills park, Hale Adventure Camp will summit New England’s highest mountains while learning outdoor skills, and Hale Day Camp will inspire confidence through swimming, boating, archery, and more.
 
Remember that Family and Community Program season passholders, camp families, and other program participants receive complimentary annual parking passes, available in Hale’s main office. If you aren’t joining us by way of a program, we’d love to thank you with one for your gift of $60 or more that helps steward Hale’s land and trails.
 
Westwood Community Trails will offer its next free guided trek to Martha Jones School on July 5. WCT welcomes everyone, and while you can find all the details on Hale’s website, there’s no need to register for its hikes.

Hale Education’s 1,200+ acres of adventure include 20+ miles of trails and four ponds, all right at your doorstep. Hale is open daily from 8 AM–8 PM from May 1 to June 12. Beginning on June 13 through Aug. 24, we’re open to the public from 4:30–8 PM during the week and 8 AM–8 PM on weekends. A $10 daily parking fee (payable upon arrival) provides use of lots accessible via its Main Entrance at 80 Carby Street. Its South Entrance on Bruné Way is open through Aug. 31.
