What’s Happening at Hale – October, 2025

By now, you’ve traded a bathing suit for hiking boots, and a beach towel for a hoodie. The leaves are changing, and the trails are calling, so join us this fall! 

Here are just a few ways you can embrace sweater weather: 

• Oct. 25: Hale-o-ween returns with festive crafts, hiking, and a haunted cabin that’s just spooky enough for ages 3–12. Costumes welcome!  
• Nov. 28: Our tenth annual Fall Family Scavenger Hunt returns so you can continue outdoor traditions with loved ones during the holiday break. Explore nature, search for prizes, and enter our raffle for a free session of Hale School Vacation Days to continue the fun in December. 

If your school, college, or business is looking for an adventurous way to build connections this fall, be sure to check out our teambuilding and challenge course programs. From peaceful retreats to exhilarating climbs, we can tailor any of our programs to meet your goals. 

As dropping temperatures bring nostalgia for warm weather activities, October also brings the first opportunity to register for summer 2026 programs. Keep an eye on our website for information about Hale Summer Camps and Hale’s Family and Community Program. They’ve been known to fill up fast!

Hale Education offers 20+ miles of trails, four ponds, forests, meadows, and more, all right at your doorstep. Hale is open to the public from 8 AM–5 PM daily. A $10 daily parking fee (payable upon arrival) provides use of lots accessible via its Main Entrance at 80 Carby Street.
