Anne Joyce Named Westwood Girls Basketball Head Coach

Anne Joyce, who played at Braintree High School and coached at Dover-Sherborn and Waltham, was named head coach of the Westwood girls basketball team.
 
In a statement shared Saturday, Athletic Director Richkaard Verrier welcomed Joyce to the Wolverines family.
 
“Coach Joyce comes to us with an impressive background, having served as an assistant varsity basketball coach at both Dover-Sherborn high school and Waltham high school. Her experience isn’t limited to the court; she’s also an accomplished lacrosse coach and a proven leader in education.
 
At D-S, she stepped up as the interim head coach for both basketball and lacrosse, showing her ability to lead and adapt when it matters most. Beyond the Xs and Os, Coach Joyce is dedicated to developing the whole athlete on and off the court. She serves as a middle school history teacher and a curriculum leader at Dover-Sherborn.
 
We are confident in her ability to build a positive team culture and help our athletes grow as players and os people.
