On Track to Greatness: Jayden Pillard Chooses Colby College

Westwood High School’s Jayden Pillard has officially announced that he will continue his academic and athletic career at Colby College next fall.
 
“I am honored to announce that I will be continuing my academic and athletic journey at Colby College,” Pillard said. “I extend my gratitude to my family, Coach Lyons, and my teammates for their unwavering support and encouragement.”
 
Pillard has established himself as one of the top track and field athletes in the state. This past spring, he captured the TVL Championship in the 400m and went on to help lead Westwood’s 4×400 relay team — alongside Charlie Jessup, Roman Grilli, and Tino Giannopoulos — to a Division 3 State Championship. His combination of speed, work ethic, and leadership has made him a cornerstone of Coach Ed Lyons’ program.
 
Beyond the track, Pillard has also made his mark in the classroom and the community. A young entrepreneur, he is the founder of Jayden’s Dough, a popular local baking business that has gained tremendous buzz for its creative flavors and fresh breads (if you haven’t tried it yet, it’s a must).
 
Congratulations to Jayden, the Pillard family, and the entire Westwood track and field coaching staff on this exciting milestone. Colby is gaining not only an elite athlete, but an outstanding student and community member.
