Westwood Youth Field Hockey Welcomes 60+ Kids to Camp

Westwood Youth Field Hockey kicked off the summer with another successful Youth Field Hockey Camp, welcoming 66 campers for a week filled with skill development, teamwork, and fun.
 

Designed for players of all experience levels, camp focused on building fundamental field hockey skills while creating an environment where kids could laugh, make new friends, and enjoy the first week of summer vacation. Daily themed activities, team-building games, and plenty of smiles made for an unforgettable week both on and off the field.
 

One of the greatest strengths of the program continues to be the connection between Westwood Youth Field Hockey and the Westwood High School program. Campers had the opportunity to learn from Varsity Coach Heather Joyce, whose thoughtful planning, leadership, and enthusiasm helped make the week such a success. They were also joined by an outstanding group of Westwood High School players—Bridget Hughes, Julie Hogan, Claire Kenneally, Emma Kenneally, and Gillian Walsh—who generously volunteered their time, coaching, encouraging, and serving as positive role models for the next generation of Westwood field hockey players.
 

Now entering its sixth year, Westwood Youth Field Hockey continues to grow with a mission of helping young athletes develop a love for the sport while building confidence, friendships, and teamwork. The program also encourages multi-sport participation, believing children benefit from experiencing a variety of sports while developing as athletes.
