Westwood Youth Lacrosse 2026 Recap

The 2025-2026 Westwood Youth Lacrosse season was one to remember, as players across every age group demonstrated tremendous growth, teamwork, and enthusiasm for the game. From first-time players picking up a stick to experienced athletes competing for championships, the program continues to build a strong foundation for the future of lacrosse in Westwood.
 

Our youngest athletes at Grades 1 & 2 level had a great regular season culminating in another fun day of lacrosse at the Westwood Youth Lacrosse Jamboree held at the Multipurpose and Flahive fields. The event brought together players from across the region for a day filled with skill development, friendly competition, and plenty of smiles. It is always inspiring to watch these young players gain confidence, learn the fundamentals, and experience the excitement of representing Westwood.
 

At the Grades 3 & 4 level, the program celebrated the successful launch of its inaugural Select team. Competing against some of the area’s strongest youth programs, the team embraced the challenge and made remarkable progress throughout the season. Their commitment, coachability, and love of the game established a strong foundation for what promises to become a lasting tradition within the program. The team brought an undefeated record into their final game against a strong Weston team and ultimately fell short on the scoreboard in overtime but gave an incredible effort as they had all year.
 

The highlight of the spring came from our Grades 5 & 6 Select team, which captured its second consecutive Division I state championship. Battling with injuries in the playoffs the team demonstrated incredible grit and perseverance to successfully defended its title and showcased the talent and character that define Westwood Youth Lacrosse.
 

The success of this season extends well beyond wins and championships. It reflects the dedication of our volunteer coaches, supportive families, and hardworking players who continue to strengthen the culture of Westwood Youth Lacrosse. We look forward to building on this momentum and seeing what next season brings
